Reserves Act 1977

Classification of a Reserve and Appointment to Control and Manage the Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations
Manager for the Wellington Conservancy of the Department
of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the
Schedule as a recreation reserve, and appoints the Wellington

Regional Council to control and manage the reserve for
recreation purposes.

The appointment to control and manage the reserve is
subject to the Minister being able to recover any rates from
the council if such rates are levied and paid by the Crown.
