Notice of Approval for Land to be Sold, Otherwise Disposed Of or Modified, Pursuant to Section 5 of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991

Under the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, I, Chris Carter, Minister of Conservation, hereby approve the sale of the following parcel of land currently vested in the Grey District Council, being part of the land described in Part C of the Schedule to the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, under the description "Greymouth Harbour Lands" and being more particularly described in the Schedule.

Residential land proposed for sale by the Grey District Council, pursuant to the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1982 and the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991.

In terms of section 5 (2) (c) of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, the approval shall take effect on the date of this notice.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Motorway Purposes—Ballantrae Place, Wellington

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto ("the land").

The land is required for motorway purposes and is presently occupied in conjunction with adjoining properties.

The intended taking is necessary to regularise ownership and property boundaries.

All other areas adjoining the land have already been acquired either for better utilisation or motorway purposes.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held. The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires. Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

The land is required for road, namely the Wellington Inner City Bypass, and is a private road that once serviced adjoining properties as a right of way.

All of the right of way interests in Tonks Avenue have now been acquired.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.
