Declaration by Chief Electoral Officer That Nándor Steven Tánczos is Elected a Member of Parliament

WHEREAS—

A. I have received a warrant from Her Excellency the Governor-General, to supply a member of Parliament to fill a vacancy created by the death of Rodney David Donald pursuant to section 55 (1) (h) of the Electoral Act 1993;

B. Under section 137 (2) of the Electoral Act 1993, I have determined that of the unelected candidates on the party list of the Green Party, Nándor Steven Tánczos stood highest in the order of preference on that list;

C. Under section 137 (3) of that Act, I have asked the Secretary of the Green Party whether Nándor Steven Tánczos remains a member of that party and I have been informed that he remains a member of that party;

D. Under section 137 (4) of that Act, I have asked Nándor Steven Tánczos whether he is willing to be a member of Parliament and he has indicated his willingness to be a member of Parliament.

THEREFORE, pursuant to section 137 (4) of that Act, I, David Robert Henry, Chief Electoral Officer, declare

Nándor Steven Tánczos

to be elected a member of Parliament.
