Land Declared Road—State Highway No. 4, Ohotu Curve, Ruapehu District

Pursuant to section 114 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, forms part of State Highway No. 4 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Land Declared Reserve—Edmonds Road, Far North District

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by delegated authority under the Reserves Act 1977, the Far North District Council notifies the following resolution passed by the council on 14 April 2005:

“That under section 14 of the Act, the Far North District Council resolves to declare that the piece of land held in fee simple by the council and described in the Schedule, be declared to be a local purpose (native plantings) reserve.”

Road Realignment—Bypass Road, Ranfurly, Central Otago District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described in the First Schedule to this notice to be road vested in the Central Otago District Council on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the portion of road described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be stopped and, pursuant to section 120 (3), amalgamated with the land in Computer Freehold Register OT3D/320, subject to easement in gross to convey water contained in transfer 826260.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise Proceeds of Sale

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land described in the Schedule and declares that the land may be disposed of by the Christchurch City Council in such manner, at a price and on terms and conditions as the council determines, the proceeds from a sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Under section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a scenic reserve and further declares that the scenic reserve described in the Schedule is to be known as the Ballyhooley Scenic Reserve.
