Notice of Removal of Trade Name Products From the Register of Trade Name Products
(Notice No. 1434)

Pursuant to section 22 (3) (b) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, I hereby give notice that the products listed in the Annex have been removed from the Register of Trade Name Products and that the registration of these products, as trade name products, has expired or been cancelled.

Supplies of each of the products listed in the Annex that have entered the wholesale or retail market on, or prior to, the date of this notice may continue to be used and sold until the date specified against each product in question.

The importation, sale and use of the products listed in the Annex is otherwise prohibited from the date of the publication of this notice.

Animal Products Act 1999

Notice Under the Animal Products Act 1999
(Notice No. 1435)

Pursuant to section 164 of the Animal Products Act 1999, notice is given of the issue of Circular No. 58 "Dairy IMA Certification (D203.1)" and Circular No. 59 "Quota Compliance Programmes (D204.1)" which are deemed to be specifications pursuant to section 77 (2) of the Animal Products (Ancillary & Transitional Provisions) Act 1999.

These specifications came into force on 1 June 2005 for the purpose of giving effect to the regulated control scheme provided in the Dairy Industry (IMA Certification) Regulations 2000.

Copies of the notice may be inspected or obtained at the office of the New Zealand Food Safety Authority, South Tower, 68-86 Jervois Quay (P.O. Box 2835), Wellington.

Biosecurity Act 1993

Notice of Revocation of a Controlled Area Notice

Background

By notice dated the 19th day of September 2003, the area listed in Schedule 1 of this notice was declared to be a controlled area under section 131 (2) of the Biosecurity Act 1993 ("the Act") for the purpose of limiting the spread of varroa mite (Varroa destructor). This area is referred to as the "Controlled Area".

Under section 131 (3) of the Act, that notice imposed controls on the movement of certain things, within or out of the Controlled Area.

Revocation of Notice

NOW under section 131 (4) of the Act, I, Peter Scott Thomson, Chief Technical Officer, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE THAT I REVOKE the notice dated 19 September 2003 declaring that the area listed in Schedule 1 of this notice is a Controlled Area under section 131 of the Act.

For the avoidance of doubt, this notice also revokes all controls on the movement of certain things, within or out of the Controlled Area, imposed by the notice of 19 September 2003.

Commencement—This notice takes effect at 12.00 midnight on and from 30 June 2005.
