ACC uses a vehicle classification system based mostly on vehicle type. Motor vehicle owners pay a levy based on the type of
vehicle owned.

ACC proposes to:

● maintain the 2005/2006 average motor vehicle levy at the current rate of $197.50 per vehicle.
● maintain the current nine classifications and their rates for 2005/2006.
● maintain the petrol levy at the current rate of 5.08 cents per litre.
● maintain the ACC component of the annual vehicle licensing fee for each vehicle type at their current rates.

Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name Product (Notice No. 1348)

Pursuant to section 14 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, the Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry hereby gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (ACVM) Act 1997:

Active Ingredient and Concentration:

Ethyl formate 166.7g/Kg

General Use Claim:

A post harvest aerosol insecticide spray for the control of stored product and horticulture pests in produce and quarantine treatments.

Any person may make a written submission to the Director-General under section 17 of the ACVM Act 1997 concerning any application notified above.

Such submissions:

(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission;

(b) may state any decision sought on that application;

(c) must be received by the Director-General no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette; and

(d) should be forwarded to the address given below.

A copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for their information.

A copy of the public information on the application may be obtained from ACVM Group, New Zealand Food Safety Authority, P.O. Box 2835, Wellington.

General Use Claim:

Prevention and stopping of urine spray in cats.
