Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Revoking Sections of State Highway—State Highway No. 5

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Board gives notice that the sections of State highway described in the Schedule hereto are to be revoked within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.

Schedule

  1. That section (a) of State Highway No. 5 in the Taupo District, commencing from a point approximately 214 metres east of the intersection of State Highway No. 1, and proceeding in a generally easterly direction to a point approximately 349 metres west of Arrowsmith Avenue (Route Position 135/0.21 to Route Position 135/0.77); a distance of 0.15 kilometres.

  2. That section (b) of State Highway No. 5 in the Taupo District, commencing on the north side of State Highway No. 5, from a point approximately 130 metres east of Arrowsmith Avenue, and proceeding in a generally easterly direction to a point approximately 520 metres east of Arrowsmith Avenue (Route Position 135/1.02 to Route Position 135/1.62); a distance of 0.60 kilometres.

  3. That section (c) of State Highway No. 5 in the Taupo District, commencing on the south side of State Highway No. 5, from a point approximately 116 metres east of Arrowsmith Avenue, and proceeding in a generally easterly direction to a point approximately 335 metres east of Arrowsmith Avenue (Route Position 135/1.10 to Route Position 135/1.32); a distance of 0.22 kilometres.

  4. That section (d) of State Highway No. 5 in the Taupo District, commencing on the south side of State Highway No. 5, from a point approximately 332 metres west of Crown Road, and proceeding in a generally easterly direction to a point approximately 322 metres east of Mountain Road (Route Position 135/2.23 to Route Position 135/5.11); a distance of 3.39 kilometres.

Under the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, I, Chris Carter, Minister of Conservation, hereby approve the sale of the following parcels of land currently vested in the Grey District Council, being part of the land described in Part C of the Schedule to the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, under the description “Greymouth Harbour Lands” and being more particularly described in the Schedule.

Residential land proposed for sale by the Grey District Council, pursuant to the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1982 and the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991.

Land to be Set Apart for Education Purposes—State Highway No. 26, Waikato District

Pursuant to section 52 (1) (d) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand, declares that the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby set apart for education purposes and shall remain vested in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
