Notice of Proposal to Promote an Indicative Referendum Petition

Pursuant to section 7 of the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, I give notice that I have received from NZFlag.com Trust a proposal to promote an indicative referendum petition.

The wording of the question proposed to be put to voters in an indicative referendum is:

"Should New Zealand change its flag?"

Comment is invited on this wording.

Anyone wishing to comment must send three written copies to The Clerk of the House of Representatives, Parliament House, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, by Thursday, 9 September 2004 at 5.00 p.m.

Approved Form: Application for Chief Executive’s Exemption From Requirements: Regulation 103 of the Electricity Regulations 1997

I, Graham Boxall, acting under delegated authority from the Chief Executive, Ministry of Economic Development, hereby approve the form ESS Form 04/01/CEER for the purposes of an application for an exemption pursuant to Regulation 103 of the Electricity Regulations 1997.

All previous forms for applications are revoked and substituted by the form ESS Form 04/01/CEER within 10 working days from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Initiation of Dumping Investigation: Oil Filters From China, Indonesia, Korea and Thailand

Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 10 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I have initiated an investigation to determine both the existence and effect of the alleged dumping of the goods described in the Schedule to this notice originating from China, Indonesia, Korea and Thailand, being satisfied that sufficient evidence has been provided that:

(a) the goods imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand are being dumped; and

(b) by reason thereof, material injury is being caused to a New Zealand industry producing like goods,

and also being satisfied that the collective output of those New Zealand producers who have, in writing, expressed support for the application constitutes:

(a) 25 percent or more of the total New Zealand production of like goods produced for domestic consumption (assessed during the most recent
