Slattery Peak

77°34'S Latitude, 168°59'E Longitude. A somewhat isolated rock peak (c. 600m) that rises above the ice mantle south-east of Mount Terror on Ross Island. The peak position is additionally defined as 8.8km south-west of The Knoll and 6km east north-east of Rohnke Crests.

Snow Petrel Peak

78°32'S Latitude, 164°38'E Longitude. A sharp rock peak (605m) that marks the eastern-most summit of Mason Spur at the south end of Scott coast, Victoria Land.

Speden Bench

78°01'S Latitude, 167°24'E Longitude. A bench (c. 45m) on the west side of White Island, 1.6km from the north end, in Ross Archipelago.

Stevens Cliff

76°50'S Latitude, 162°40'E Longitude. A cliff between Tiger Island and Cape Archer along the north side of Granite Harbor, Victoria Land. The cliff is straight, 5km long and rises 200m above the sea.

Stewart Peak

77°44'S Latitude, 163°52'E Longitude. A sharp coastal peak that rises to 1097m on the south side of New Harbor, McMurdo Sound, Victoria Land. It is the eastern-most summit in the range of hills flanking the south side of Ferrar Glacier.

Streich, Mount

78°09'S Latitude, 158°53'E Longitude. A buttress-type mountain (2250m) that rises above Skelton Icefalls midway between Angino Buttress and Portal Mountain.

Stuckless Glacier

78°16'S Latitude, 166°15'E Longitude. A broad glacier in the south-west part of Black Island, Ross Archipelago. It flows south-west between Rowe Nunataks and Cape Beck to Moraine Strait, McMurdo Ice Shelf.

Swyers Point

78°10'S Latitude, 165°08'E Longitude. An ice-free point on the west side of Brown Peninsula, Scott Coast, that marks the north extent of Bellafronto Bight.

Terra Nova Glacier

77°27'S Latitude, 167°42'E Longitude. A glacier about 8km long in north-central Ross Island. It flows north from the saddle between Mount Erebus and Mount Terra Nova into Lewis Bay.

Tito Peak

76°36'S Latitude, 162°17'E Longitude. A prominent peak over 600m, located at the end of the ridge 3km east of Mount Creak in the south-east extremity of Endeavour Massif, Kirkwood Range.

Towle Point

77°27'S Latitude, 169°14'E Longitude. A point 1.6km north of Post Office Hill that marks the north-east extremity of Ross Island.

Tripp Ice Tongue

76°34'S Latitude, 162°45'E Longitude. An ice tongue that occupies the north half of Tripp Bay on the coast of Victoria Land.

Tyree Head

77°39'S Latitude, 167°25'E Longitude. A headland 5km north-east of Sultans Head Rock on the south side of Ross Island. The headland rises to over 400m and is ice covered except for rock exposed on the lower east side.

Uberuaga Island

77°53'S Latitude, 165°17'E Longitude. An island 0.8km long that is the eastern-most feature in Dailey Islands, McMurdo Sound.

Van Allen Range

78°09'S Latitude, 159°30'E Longitude. A range 22.5km long that includes Escalade Peak (2035m), Tate Peak and Mount Marvel, located at the south margin of Skelton Névé between Boomerang Range and Worcester Range.

Varcoe Headland

77°31'S Latitude, 166°12'E Longitude. A low headland (34m) that marks the north entrance point to Horseshoe Bay in west Ross Island.

Vella Flat

78°11'S Latitude, 166°14'E Longitude. A coastal flat to the south of Lake Cole in the north-west part of Black Island, Ross Archipelago.

Vogler Peak

77°38'S Latitude, 162°12'E Longitude. A rock peak (2050m) 1.2km south-west of Mount Irvine on Roa Ridge in Asgard Range, Victoria Land.

Windscoop Bluff

78°32'S Latitude, 164°28'E Longitude. A rock bluff east north-east of Birthday Bluffs on the south side of Mason Spur, Scott Coast, Victoria Land. The bluff rises to c. 1000m and is marked at the base by a large windscoop.

Wyandot Point

77°23'S Latitude, 168°04'E Longitude. A rock point 5km west south-west of Cape Tennyson on the north side of Ross Island.

Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for road and vested in the Waitakere City Council on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
