Rules of Casino Table Games, Amendment No. 20
Pursuant to section 63 of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority resolved on 18 June 2004, that the Rules of Casino Table Games approved to be conducted and played in the licensed casinos referred to in Schedule 2 to this notice, as set out in the editions of the New Zealand Gazette referred to in Schedule 3, be further amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Commencement—These amendments shall come into force on 28 June 2004.

Division 6—Caribbean Stud Poker
2.1 Rule 3.3 of this division is amended by deleting subparagraph (c) and substituting:
"(c) for wagers on the progressive jackpot by the areas designated for such wagers as shown in the appendix."
2.2 Rule 3.5 is amended by deleting subparagraph (c) and substituting:
"(c) include an indicator light at each progressive jackpot wagering area, which shall light up to indicate that a wager on the progressive jackpot has been made."
2.3 Rule 9.2 is amended by deleting subparagraph (a) and substituting:
"(a) collect the player’s progressive jackpot wager from the layout (where applicable);"
2.4 Rule 10.6 is amended by deleting subparagraph (a) and substituting:
"(a) collect the player’s jackpot wager from the layout (where applicable), unless the hand qualifies for a jackpot payout;"
2.5 Rule 10.7 is amended by deleting subparagraph (a) and substituting:
"(a) collect the player’s jackpot wager from the layout (where applicable), unless the hand qualifies for a jackpot payout;"
2.6 Rule 10.8 is amended by deleting subparagraph (a) and substituting:
"(a) collect the player’s jackpot wager from the layout (where applicable), unless the hand qualifies for a jackpot payout;"
2.7 Rule 11.3 is deleted and the following rule substituted:
"11.3 Jackpot wagers shall be made by placing a chip of the correct denomination on or in the designated wagering area corresponding to the wagering area for the player’s ante wager."
2.8 Rule 11.4 is amended by deleting the words "once a chip of the correct denomination has been placed in the slot the coin indicator light will be illuminated" and substituting "once a chip of the correct denomination has been placed on or in the designated wagering area an indicator light will be illuminated".
2.9 Rule 11.5 is amended by deleting the words "relevant coin indicator light is illuminated after the wager has been placed in the slot" and substituting "relevant indicator light is illuminated after the wager has been placed on or in the designated wagering area".
2.10 Rule 11.12 is amended by deleting the sentence "When the progressive jackpot is being operated manually and a hand qualifies for a jackpot payout, the wager on the jackpot shall be collected after the payout has been made."
2.11 The appendix to the division is deleted and the appendix to this notice substituted:
- Division 7—Tournament Play
3.1 The index to this division is amended by deleting the references to Section 8 and Section 9 and renumbering Section 10 as Section 8.
3.2 Rule 2.2 is amended by deleting the word "and" at the end of subparagraph (h) and inserting at the end of subparagraph (i):
"; and
(j) the version of play in baccarat (i.e. whether mini, midi or full baccarat)".
3.3 The division is amended by deleting sections 8, 9 and 10 and substituting the following section:
"8.0 Application—Baccarat
8.1 Subject to rule 8.2:
(a) the general rules contained in division 1 of these rules; and
(b) the rules of baccarat contained in division 5 of these rules,"
