Telecommunications Act 2001

Determination on TelstraClear’s Application for Designated Access Services (the “Residential Wholesale Application”)

On 13 November 2002, TelstraClear applied, under section 20 of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), for a determination concerning price and non-price terms in respect of the residential local access and calling service offered by means of Telecom’s fixed telecommunications network, retail services and bundles of retail services offered by means of Telecom’s fixed telecommunications network, and retail services offered by means of Telecom’s fixed telecommunications network as part of a bundle of retail services (the “Residential Wholesale Application”).

Pursuant to section 27 (c) of the Act, the Commerce Commission gives public notice that it has made a determination on the Residential Wholesale Application in so far as it concerns the residential local access and calling service, retail services and bundles of retail services.

ERMA New Zealand

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79 (5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it has approved a code of practice for Crown research institutes and university exempt laboratories.

This code is intended to provide a means of compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Hazardous Substances (Exempt Laboratories) Regulations 2001.

This code can be inspected at the Wellington office of ERMA New Zealand, Level One, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, or can be downloaded free of charge from the ERMA New Zealand web site:

www.ermanz.govt.nz

The code is also available for purchase from ERMA New Zealand.
