Pursuant to section 156A of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that North Clyde School (2623) and Wairoa Primary School (2728) will merge on 28 January 2005.

Wairoa Primary School will be the continuing contributing school.

Pursuant to section 78N (3) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby dissolve the board of Kaitoke School (1593) and appoint a commissioner to the school.

All functions, powers and duties of the board of Kaitoke School are to be vested in the commissioner.

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 3 May 2004, which was granted under those Regulations to Jean Lindsay in respect of Te Whare Manaaki (65411), situated in Nelson.

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

Lindisfarne College, Hastings.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on 14 May 2004.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education, Bower Building, 19 Bower Street, Napier.

Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999

Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 55) 2004 (No. F283)

Pursuant to Regulations 9 and 10 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, and acting under delegated authority, the Associate Minister of Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 55) 2004.

(2) This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice:

(a) "customary food gathering" has the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999.

(b) "Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki" means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999 as Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the management of a general customary food gathering area/rohe moana, as described in clauses 3 and 5.
