Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, part of the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of an urupa, to be known as okapa, and church site and church hall, to be known as the Canon Wiremu Keretene, for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Hoori and Mei Keretene.

North Auckland Land District

Schedule

Part of that piece of land situated in Block XII, Motatau Survey District and described as follows:

Area m² Description
4046 Motatau 2, Section 37B, being all of the land described in Computer Register, Volume NA18B, folio 1453, North Auckland Land Registry.

Redefining the Purposes of a Māori Reservation and Redefining the Class of Persons for Whose Use the Reservation Was Set Apart

Pursuant to sections 338 (5) (c) and 338 (5) (d) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the purposes for which the Māori reservation in respect of the general land described in the Schedule hereto was created by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 August 1993, No. 124, page 2476, is hereby redefined for the purpose of a community amenity, and on a further recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the persons or class of persons for whose common use and benefit the Māori reservation was set apart be redefined to Te Whanau a Kahu, Te Whanau a Ruataupare, Ngati Rangi, Te Whanau a Tuwhakairiora and Te Aotawarirangi.

Gisborne Land District

Schedule

All that piece of land situated in Block VIII, Tokomaru Survey District and described as follows:

Area m² Description
388 Lot 1 on DP 7439, being all the land described in Computer Register GS5A/583.
