Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training Organisation

Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992,
Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training
Organisation is granted an extension of coverage to cover
the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector (excluding
compounding of medicines in community and hospital
pharmacies) effective from 19 February 2004.

Telecommunications Act 2001

Clarification of Determination

On 12 May 2003, the Commerce Commission made a
determination, under section 27 of the Telecommunications
Act 2001 ("the Act"), on the terms and conditions for the
supply of wholesale designated access services by Telecom
New Zealand Limited to TelstraClear Limited and Clear
Communications Limited ("Decision 497").

Pursuant to section 58 (2) of the Act, the Commerce
Commission gives public notice that it has amended Decision
497 for the purposes of making a clarification under section
58 (2) of the Act.

Schedule 3 Investigation into Mobile Termination Rates

Pursuant to clause 1 (3) of Schedule 3 of the
Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), the Commerce
Commission ("the Commission") gives public notice that
it has decided, under clause 1 of Schedule 3 to the Act, to
commence an investigation into mobile termination rates.
Under clause 1 (1) of Schedule 3 to the Act, the
Commission may on its own initiative commence an
investigation into whether or not a new telecommunications
service should be regulated by adding it to Schedule 1 of the
Act.

The Commission is satisfied that there are reasonable
grounds for commencing an investigation into mobile
termination, and these reasons are published on the
Commission's web site at:
www.comcom.govt.nz/telecommunications/
investigations.cfm
