the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager for the Waiouru School (2472) Board of Trustees
because of the financial risks to the operation of the school.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are
vested in the limited statutory manager:

• Responsibility for the financial management of the school.

The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on
the following:

• Financial strategy; and
• financial reporting and monitoring.

Notice of Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Rongomai School (1468)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct
the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager for the board of trustees of Rongomai School
(1468) because of risks to the operation of the school related
to the board’s responsibilities as employer of the Otara
cluster of Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour
(RTLB).

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are
vested in the limited statutory manager:

• Employment powers of the board relating to the Otara
  cluster of RTLB.

The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on
the following:

• Adherence to the Ministry of Education guidelines
  regarding RTLB clusters;
• financial management of the RTLB cluster and Learning
  Support Fund; and
• implementation of the organisational structure of
  the RTLB cluster that best reflects the needs of the
  school.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
