Explanatory Note

The Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002 (“the Regulations”) incorporate by reference certain standards. The standards incorporated by reference that relate to household refrigerating appliances have been amended. This notice specifies the date upon which the amendments to the standards take effect as part of the Regulations.

Comments are invited on the following proposed marine protection rules developed under the Maritime Transport Act 1994:

Marine Protection Amendment (No. 2) Rules which amend:

• Part 121A: Ships Design and Construction–Oil Tankers; and
• Part 123A: Documents–Oil

Comments should be made by 27 February 2005.

Privacy Act Code of Practice Notice

Pursuant to section 49 of the Privacy Act 1993, I give notice as follows:

1. The Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2004:
   (a) was issued on 6 December 2004; and

   (b) will come into force on 1 April 2006 (except for clauses 7 and 8 which will come into force on 1 April 2005).

2. Copies of the code may be inspected free of charge at the offices of the Privacy Commissioner, 51-53 Shortland Street, Auckland and 109-111 Featherston Street, Wellington.

3. Copies of the code are available for purchase from the offices of the Privacy Commissioner and may be inspected or downloaded free of charge from the web site:

CLS Bank International—Notification of Amendments to the Rules

Notice is hereby given that CLS Bank International has notified the Reserve Bank of amendments to the rules of the CLS System.

The Reserve Bank agreed to those amendments on 3 December 2004.

Accordingly, pursuant to section 156L of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989, for the purposes of the designation of the CLS System:

The rules of the system are now the Settlement Member Agreement in the form dated 31 August 2004, and the CLS Bank International Rules dated 19 September 2002, including the amendments agreed to by the CLS Bank International board on 15 October 2004 and 30 November 2004.
