Family Court Judges Appointed

the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased
to appoint

Gregory Francis Hikaka, barrister of Auckland
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise
the jurisdiction of the Family Courts with effect from
15 November 2004; and

Emma Smith, solicitor of New Plymouth
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise
the jurisdiction of the Family Courts with effect from
