Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989

Relinquishment of Bank Registration

Pursuant to section 71 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989, the name of:

AMP Bank Limited

was removed from the Register of Registered Banks on 27 September 2004.

Pursuant to section 65 (1) (a) of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989, the Reserve Bank has authorised AMP Bank Limited to continue using the names:

AMP Bank Limited; and
AMP Banking

after de-registration.

The authorisation has been granted, subject to the condition that AMP Bank Limited carries on in New Zealand only certain specified activities and the condition that it uses only the names AMP Bank Limited and AMP Banking in carrying on those specified activities.

The Reserve Bank has granted this authorisation to enable AMP Bank Limited to complete the winding up of its New Zealand business.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaration That Land is to be Held for Conservation Purposes, Declaration That the Area Become Reserve, and Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of the Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, declares that the land described in the Schedule is held for conservation purposes and further declares that the conservation areas be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local purpose (environmental and landscape protection) reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and further appoints Takuahi Research and Development Limited to control and manage the reserve, as a local purpose (environmental and landscape protection) reserve.
