Commodity Levies Act 1990

The Commodity Levies (Winegrapes) Order 2004

It was resolved at the Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Grape Growers Council Inc. in Blenheim on the 26th day of August 2004 that the levy for 2005 vintage remain at 0.75% plus G.S.T.

In accordance with the above Order which comes into force on 24 September 2004, all growers and buyers are advised that the calculation of the levy will be on the following basis:

(a) In the case of grape juice or grape juice concentrate, 0.75% plus G.S.T. of the notional price determined by the Council as per the Order.

(b) In the case of grapes exported from New Zealand, 0.75% plus G.S.T. of the FOB value before deduction of any costs or charges.

(c) In the case of grapes sold, 0.75% plus G.S.T. of the farm gate price before the deduction of any costs or charges.
