Land Transport Act 1998

Notification of Ordinary Rule

Pursuant to section 161 (3) of the Land Transport Act
1998, notification is hereby given of the making of Land
Transport Rule: Heavy Vehicles (Rule 31002).
This rule will come into force on 1 April 2005.
This ordinary rule is available for inspection free of charge
at the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority
of New Zealand, 7-27 Waterloo Quay, Wellington, and
for purchase from September 2004 at bookshops that sell
legislation or direct from Wickliffe Limited, P.O. Box 932,
Dunedin.

Public Works Act 1981

Road Realignment—Galatea Road,
Whakatane District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation
from the Minister for Land Information, Trevor Knowles,
Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to sections 20 and 50 (3), declares the
portions of land described in the First Schedule to this notice
are acquired for road and shall vest in Whakatane District
Council on the date of publication of this notice in the
New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to section 117 (7), declares the portions of
road described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be
stopped and added to the land held in Gazette Notice
S416063, and to be Crown Land set apart for the
development of water power (Rangitaiki River Power
Scheme).
