8.3 No licence holder shall on any day kill more than two (2) sports fish, other than perch, from the following waters:
(i) Virginia Lake.
(ii) Lake Ngangana.
(iii) Lake Wiritoa.
(iv) Lake Namunamu.
(v) Raetihi Hydro Dam.
(vi) Lahar Lake.
(vii) Manganuioteao River and its tributaries.
(viii) All waters originating on the slopes of Mount Egmont/Taranaki, including Lakes Mangamahoe, Rotomanu, Opunake, Ratapiko and Rotorangi, but excluding waters specified in Sections 8.1 and 8.2 of this Notice and the Waingongoro River downstream from Eltham Road.
8.4 No licence holder shall on any day kill more than four (4) sports fish, other than perch, from all other waters in the region.

There shall be no limit on the number of perch killed by a licence holder.

FISH LENGTH
There is no length limit for sports fish caught in the Taranaki Fish and Game Region, except of the maximum length limit in Section 8.1.
- VIRGINIA LAKE (WANGANUI)
The following rules apply to the waters of Virginia Lake:
(i) Only child, junior and young adult licence holders may fish for sports fish.
(ii) No fly casting.
(iii) No fishing from the paved area in front (western end) of the lake.
SPECIAL LICENCES FOR THE DISABLED
The Taranaki Fish and Game Region is authorised to issue special licences authorising any disabled person, within the meaning of the Disabled Persons Employment Act 1960, to fish for sports fish by any means that would otherwise be unlawful.
