The Waipawa River downstream from the State Highway No. 50 bridge, excluding tributaries. All year
The Porangahau River downstream from its confluence with the Mangawhero Stream, excluding tributaries. All year
The Karamu Stream, excluding tributaries. All year
The Mohaka River downstream from its confluence with the Mangatainoka River, excluding tributaries. All year
The Waipunga River downstream from the falls, excluding tributaries. All year
All lakes of the region. All year

No restrictions.

  1. BAIT FISHING WATERS

Bait fishing is allowed in the following waters:

  • Lake Te Pohue.
  • Karamu Stream.
  1. COARSE FISHING WATERS

There are no defined coarse fishing waters in the Hawke’s Bay Region.
