Traffic Regulations 1976

The Traffic (Queenstown Lakes District) Notice

No. 2, 2003

Pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations
1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by
the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated
9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads,
give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Queenstown
    Lakes District) Notice No. 2, 2003.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be
    a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area, pursuant to
    Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Schedule

Situated within the Queenstown Lakes District at Hawea
Flat:

Camp Hill Road: From Kane Road to a point 550 metres
measured westerly, generally, along the said road
from Kane Road.

The Traffic (Tauranga District) Notice 2003

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and
Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976,
and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by
the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated
9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads,
give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga
    District) Notice 2003.

  2. Those localities and roads within markings identified
    in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered
    LT0324/1, entitled “Tauranga District Roading Speed
    Restrictions” and held by the Head Office of the Land
    Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:

    (a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to
    section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or

    (b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
    section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant
    to section 52 (2) of that Act, and declared to be
    70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to
    Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

    (c) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to
    Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

    (d) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
    section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant
    to section 52 (2) of that Act;

as may be ascertained from the legend.

The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

  1. The following notice is revoked:

    The Traffic (Tauranga District) Notice 2002*.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Revoking Section of State Highway and Declaring

New Sections of State Highway—State Highway

No. 2 and State Highway No. 2B, Napier City

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989,
the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the
section of State highway described in the First Schedule
hereto is revoked and the sections of road described in the
Second Schedule hereto are declared to be State highway
within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit
New Zealand Act 1989.

First Schedule

That section of State Highway No. 2, at Napier City,
commencing at the Hawke’s Bay Airport and proceeding in
a southerly direction to the railway crossing at Meeanee
Quay (Route Position 638/8.08 to Route Position 638/9.20);
a distance of 1.12 kilometres.

Second Schedule

State Highway No. 2 to include that section of recently
constructed road at Napier City, commencing at the entrance
to the Hawke’s Bay Airport and proceeding in a southerly
direction to the intersection with Watchman Road, then
in an easterly direction to the railway crossing at Meeanee
Quay (Route Position 638/8.08 to new Route Position
647/0.15); a distance of 1.16 kilometres.

State Highway No. 2B to consist of that section of recently
constructed road at Napier City, commencing at Watchman
Road and proceeding in a southerly direction across the
Ahuriri Estuary to its intersection with State Highway
No. 50 at Taradale Road (Route Position 0/0.00 to Route
Position 0/4.11); a distance of 4.11 kilometres.
