Pursuant to section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority hereby determines that
Artemia franciscana (Kellogg 1906)
is not a new organism.

Conservation Act 1987
Declaring Land to be Set Apart as a Wildlife Refuge
Under section 18 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the conservation areas described in the Schedule shall be set apart as a wildlife refuge, subject to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953, that a speed restriction of 5 knots shall apply within the refuge and that the area shall be known as the Lake Pearson (Moana Rua) Wildlife Refuge.

Pursuant to section 114 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, R. J. Sutherland, Land Information New Zealand, declares the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, forms part of State Highway No. 2 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
