Notice of Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori Pumau Ki Ngā Reo o Ngāpuhi

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for Te Kura Kaupapa Māori Pumau Ki Ngā Reo o Ngāpuhi because of risks to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in the limited statutory manager:

• Full responsibility for the day-to-day financial matters of the kura;
• completion of a full financial systems review; and
• establishment of financial processes.

The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Guide the board in high quality planning and decision making; and
• training of the board and staff in financial processes.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication of this notice.

Education Act 1989

Dissolution of the Board of Trustees of Patea Primary School (2425) Under Section 78N (1) and Revocation of the Application of Section 78M of the Education Act 1989

Pursuant to section 78M (7) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby revoke the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 29 August 2002, page 3380, as I am satisfied that the appointment of a limited statutory manager, under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, is no longer required.

This revocation takes effect on 4 August 2003.

This action is a consequence of my decision to dissolve the Patea Primary School Board of Trustees.

Pursuant to section 78N (1), I hereby dissolve the Patea Primary School Board of Trustees and direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a commissioner to replace the board.

Cancellation of Licence For an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 23 February 2000, which was granted under those Regulations to Winifred Olive Te Moananui, in respect of Taharua Te Kohanga Reo (35065), situated at Rotokohu Road, Paeroa.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Paul’s School, Massey.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on 21 July 2003.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the regional office of the Ministry of Education, 39-45 College Hill, Ponsonby, Auckland.
