No. 56

4.7.4 Many of the statements can be combined, but individual cases are not discussed. Not all the wording used during features are included as they may be relevant only for specific games.

4.7.5 Game instructions relative to triggers of feature games are also not specified, neither are other game instructions that do not vary between different games for the same manufacturer.

4.7.6 Because of the large variety of statements that can be constructed, only examples of a particular kind of statement are covered. For example, if one statement includes references to scatters such as "Except Scatters" then such references can be extended to a number of other statements. The reader is responsible to identify such situations and to construct appropriate variations.

4.7.7 For some statements there exists an opposite statement. These opposites are not specified. For example, if the instructions say "no free games can be triggered during free games" the opposite statement would read "additional free games can be triggered during free games".

4.7.8 The following sections give samples of possible statements that may appear on the artwork. Statements which are different to those contained in the following section and which are not ambiguous and sufficiently explain the game's rules are also acceptable.

General

Malfunction Voids all Pays and Plays

4.7.9 Credits accumulated as a result of a failure of the gaming machine to function in a way in which it was designed and intended to function, are not valid and therefore will not be paid.

All Wins Shown in Credits except Progressive Pays

4.7.10 Progressive pays are shown in dollars and cents in this instance while all other prizes are shown in credits.

All Wins Shown in Credits

4.7.11 No prizes are shown in coins, dollars or cents (e.g. non progressive game).

All Wins to Credit Meter except Progressive Prizes

4.7.12 Progressive pays are paid by the attendant.

Win up to XXXXX Credits on a Selected Lit Line

4.7.13 This indicates the maximum prize that can be won on a selected lit line. The total prize awarded as a result of a play could be greater than the XXXXX prize since a variety of prizes can be won on different selected lit lines.

Play 1 to XX lines.

a) Bet 1 to XXX credits per line.

b) Play up to XXXX credits.

c) To start the game press one of the XXXXX buttons.

4.7.14 The button that starts a game (bet per line button or number of lines played button) is specified to avoid confusion. The maximum number of credits that can be bet is also displayed. If some of the above instructions are obvious from the artwork displayed in the button panel or video screen then some of the wording in the above statement can be omitted.

Winning Patterns

4.7.15 The section below contains numerous examples of inclusion/exclusion wording relative to scatters. It is impossible to list all the combinations of references to scatters thus game designers are responsible for the construction of appropriate variations.

All Pays Left to Right Only including Scatters

4.7.16 All prizes are awarded for 1, 2, 3 or 4 of a kind from left to right or 5 of a kind.
