Acting Judge of High Court Appointed

Pursuant to section 11A of the Judicature Act 1908,
Her Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and on
behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased to appoint

The Honourable Daniel Paul Neazor

to be an acting Judge of the High Court for a term of one
year, a certificate having been signed by the Chief Justice
and three other permanent Judges of the High Court that
in their opinion it is necessary for the due conduct of the
business of the Court that an acting Judge be appointed.

Notice of Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager at Ohangai School (2211)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct
the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager to Ohangai School (2211) because of risks to the
operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are
vested in the limited statutory manager:

• Personnel issues, including the appointment of a relieving
  principal, the resolution of outstanding personnel issues
  and any subsequent industrial issues.

The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on
the following matters:

• Appointment of a permanent principal;
• the filling of casual vacancies as a result of four
  resignations;
• support and coaching for the new chairperson;
• community consultation and communication; and
• support and training for the newly elected board members.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication
of this notice.

Notice of Revocation of Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager to the Board of Trustees of St Teresa’s Primary School (4021), Bluff

My decision to appoint a limited statutory manager to
St Teresa’s Primary School (4021) (dated the 26th day of
June 2002 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 4 July
2002, page 2022) is hereby revoked, under section 78M (7)
of the Education Act 1989, as I am satisfied that the
appointment of a limited statutory manager under section
78M of the Education Act 1989 is no longer required.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its
publication.

Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education
(Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting
under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education,
I hereby cancel the licence dated 25 January 2001, which
was granted under those Regulations to Peter Whitcombe
in respect of Puddle Ducks Educare Centre (80004),
situated at 19 Torridge Street, Oamaru.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its
notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
