Pharmacy Act 1970

Pharmacist and Pharmacy (Fees) Notice January 2003

  1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Pharmacist and Pharmacy (Fees) Notice January 2003 and shall come into force on 16 February 2003.

  2. Fees—Pursuant to sections 56A and 56C of the Pharmacy Act 1970, the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand sets the following fees payable to the society specified in the Schedules to this notice.

  3. Tax—The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax where applicable.

  4. This notice is subject to the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.

  5. This Regulation may be inspected at Pharmacy House, 124 Dixon Street, Wellington, or on the society’s web site www.psnz.org.nz

Schedule 1

Application for registration from applicants registered in countries with which the society has no reciprocal agreements as from 16 February 2003 (all fees are inclusive of G.S.T. in New Zealand dollars):

Step 1 – Preliminary application 675.00
Step 2 – Comprehensive assessment of qualifications 1250.00
and work experience
Step 3 – Oral presentation of evidence* 1100.00
Step 4 – Pre-registration programme 2475.00
Step 5 – Pharmacy law and ethics workshop** 1200.00
Step 6 – Pharmacy law and ethics exam 695.00

*Step 3 only applies to applicants who are invited to attend an interview after the assessment panel considers there was insufficient to determine whether their qualifications were equivalent to a New Zealand B.Pharm.

**The three-day Pharmacy Law and Ethics Workshop, which is voluntary, is offered and strongly recommended prior to the examination.

Schedule 2

Pre-registration programme for New Zealand Bachelor of Pharmacy Graduates as from January 2003* (all fees are inclusive of G.S.T. in New Zealand dollars):

Fees Payable $
Graduates who are residents of New Zealand 2900.00
Graduates who do not have residency status 3800.00

*Applicants for the programme were notified of the fees for 2003 on 3 October 2002.

Physiotherapy Act 1949

Physiotherapists (Fees) Notice 2003

  1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Physiotherapists (Fees) Notice 2003 and shall come into force on 1 April 2003.

  2. Fees—Pursuant to section 29C of the Physiotherapy Act 1949, the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand sets the fees levies payable to the board specified in the Schedule to this notice.

  3. Tax—The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.

  4. This notice is a Regulation for the purposes of the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.

Schedule

Pursuant to section 29A of the Physiotherapy Act 1949, the board gives notice that the following fees are payable (G.S.T. inclusive), effective from 1 April 2003:

Fees Payable $
For admission to the State Examination for any student physiotherapist
sitting the full examination 500.00
For admission to the State Examination for any student physiotherapist
whom the board has directed need not sit the full examination 250.00
On application for a re-count in respect of the State Examination 30.00
On application for registration:
under section 10 (a) of the Act 140.00
under section 10 (b) of the Act 600.00
For the issue of a certificate of registration 30.00
The issue of an annual practising certificate:
under section 29A (1) (c) of the Act 225.00
For the restoration of a name to the register, pursuant to an
application under section 16 (4) of the Act 52.00
For amending the register to add further qualifications, pursuant to
an application under section 14 (1) of the Act 52.00
For a certificate of temporary registration 140.00
For the correction of a name in the register, pursuant to an
application under section 18 (2) of the Act (not being a case to which
the proviso to that subsection applies) 12.00
For supplying any document for the purpose of enabling a physiotherapist
to seek registration outside New Zealand 30.00
