Notice of Exemption of Controllers From Part of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999

Pursuant to Regulation 5 of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999, I, Graham Baker, for the Secretary of Labour, hereby give notice of exemption from Regulation 10 (2), which requires all practicable steps be taken to ensure equipment is not operated without a current certificate of inspection, to controllers of hand-held surface ropeways, subject to the following conditions:

  1. This exemption does not apply to surface ropeways of the overhead travelling wire type (which includes Platter and T-Bar ropeways); and
  2. The exemption relates only to the type of equipment exempted.

Māori Land Court/Māori Appellate Court Sittings 2003

Notice is hereby given that sittings of the Māori Land Court and Māori Appellate Court will be held during the year 1 January 2003 to 31 December 2003 at the places and commencing on the dates referred to in the Schedule hereto.

The hour of commencement of each sitting (and the date and place thereof in the case of the Māori Appellate Court) will be notified in the relevant Pānui.

If any date referred to in the Schedule is varied, the varied date will be notified in the Pānui.

Special fixtures may be arranged in accordance with the provisions of Rule 11 of the Māori Land Court Rules 1994.
