Wine Makers Levy Act 1976

Special Levy Prescribed Under the Wine Makers
Levy Act 1976 (No. 1265)

Pursuant to section 11 (1) of the Wine Makers Levy Act
1976 ("the Act"), and after having regard to the
recommendation of the Wine Institute of New Zealand
Incorporated, I hereby prescribe a special levy to be paid by
wine makers.

The rate of this special levy is 39 cents ($0.39) including
G.S.T. per hectolitre, or part of every hectolitre, of wine sold
by each wine maker during the year ended 30 June 2002.

The Wine Institute of New Zealand Incorporated may spend
the special levy money on all or any of the purposes
specified in section 9 (2) of the Act, including those
purposes I approve or have approved under section
9 (2) (m).

This notice shall come into force on the date of publication
in the New Zealand Gazette.
