Appointment of Acting District Court Judge and Alternate Environment Judge

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947
and section 250 of the Resource Management Act 1991,
Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government has
been pleased to appoint

Joan Edra Sterling Allin, Principal Environment Judge
(to resign with effect from 2 May 2003)

to be an acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand for a period of two
years on and from 3 May 2003, and to be an alternate
Environment Judge of the Environment Court.
