Notice

  1. Title—(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Amendment Notice 2003.

    (2) In this notice, the Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2000 (S.R. 2000/48) is called “the principal notice”.

  2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on 31 March 2003.

  3. Application—This notice applies on and after 1 April 2003.

  4. Interpretation—Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended by revoking paragraph (b) and substituting the following paragraph:

    (b) the fish stock codes referred to in the Schedule have the same meaning as in Schedule 3 of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001 (S.R. 2001/188);

  5. Schedule amended—The Schedule of the principal notice is amended by:

    (1) omitting from the final column the expression “8 000” and substituting the expression “3 500”; and

    (2) omitting from the final column the expression “30 000” and substituting the expression “25 000”.

Explanatory Note

This notice amends the Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2000. The amendment decreases the total allowable catch for southern blue whiting in the quota management area SBW6B (Bounty Platform) from 8,000 tonnes to 3,500 tonnes, and decreases the total allowable catch for southern blue whiting in the quota management area SBW6I (Campbell Rise) from 30,000 tonnes to 25,000 tonnes on and from 1 April 2003.


Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Amendment Notice 2003 (F245)

Pursuant to section 20 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Amendment Notice 2003.

    (2) This notice comes into force on 31 March 2003.

  2. Application—This notice applies on and after 1 April 2003.

  3. Interpretation—In this notice, “the principal notice” means the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986 (S.R. 1986/267).

  4. Total allowable commercial catch for southern blue whiting—The First Schedule to the principal notice is amended by omitting items C and D of the items relating to southern blue whiting and inserting the following items:

    C Bounty Platform
    D Campbell Rise

Pursuant to section 92 of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992, I, Karen Olive Poutasi, Director-General of Health, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice shall be read together with the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act Notice 2000—Appointment of Directors of Area Mental Health Services (“the principal notice”)*.

  2. The Schedule to the principal notice is amended in respect of “Area 2 – Auckland” by omitting the name and title “Murray David Patton, medical practitioner, of Auckland” and substituting the name and title “Margaret Alice Aimer, medical practitioner, of Auckland”.

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10 of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 5 (1) of the Family Courts Act 1980, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

Timothy Hindmarsh Druce, barrister and solicitor of Wellington

to be an acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the jurisdiction of the Family Courts for a period of 12 months on and from 27 March 2003.
