Camouflaged Rowboats

Persons[^6] may hunt or kill game within the following Fish and Game Regions, from unmoored camouflaged rowboats, subject to the conditions specified below.

Fish and Game Regions of:

  • Northland
  • Nelson/Marlborough
  • Otago
  • Southland
  • Taranaki
  • West Coast
  • Eastern – excluding 3 and 4 May 2003
  • Wellington – excluding 3 and 4 May 2003
  • Central South Island – excluding 3 and 4 May 2003
  • North Canterbury – excluding 3 to 11 May 2003
  • Hawkes Bay – excluding 3 to 11 May 2003

Pegging Day

  1. A person, following purchase of a 2003/2004 Whole Season game bird hunting licence, can reclaim the stand claimed during the 2002 Game Season at any time prior to 10.00 a.m. on 6 April 2003 in all Fish and Game Regions.

  2. Otherwise unclaimed stands can only be claimed any time after 10.00 a.m. on 6 April 2003 in all Fish and Game Regions.

  3. Stands are claimed by completing and attaching to the stand, or a stake or board at the stand site, the claim tag provided with the licence.

  4. The stand claim tag must be affixed to a board or identifying label having plainly marked thereon the claimant’s name and the number of the licence.

  5. The licence holder claiming a stand must be present in person at the stand when marking up such.

  6. NB: In the Auckland Waikato Region, only holders of 2003/2004 Whole Season Adult Game Bird Licences can claim hunting stands.

  7. No one can claim more than one stand.
