Wherever the phrase “boundary of the installation” or “installation boundary” appears in the standard, it is to be replaced with the words “boundary of the installation (e.g. switchyard fence)”.
Clause 3.1.3 – The “Fair weather” definition does not apply. The definition given in CISPR 18-1, 1982, for “average fair weather level” applies.
Clause 5.1 – does not apply except for the heading and the first paragraph. The rest of Clause 5.1 is replaced with the following table and notes.
Table 1: Limits of Radiated Radio Disturbance:
| System Nominal Voltage Ph – Ph (kV rms) | Electromagnetic Noise Field Strength @ 1MHz (dB above 1µV/m) * | Measurement Distance (m) ** |
|---|---|---|
| < 70 | 43 | |
| 70 – 200 | 46 | |
| 200 – 300 | 50 | 20 |
| 300 – 400 | 52 | 20 |
| 400 – 600 | 55 | |
| 600 – 800 | 57 |
*The limits are represented for a measuring frequency of 1MHz at a distance of 20m. The limiting values at other frequencies (within the AM band of 535 – 1605kHz or higher) may be extra/intrapolated by using the appropriate graph in Figure B12 of CISPR 18-1 – 1982 or Figure B1 in Appendix B of AS/NZS 2344:1997. The values may be extra/intrapolated for other measurement distances as per the appropriate graph in Figure 2 of CISPR 18-1.
** Horizontal distance from the vertical projection to the ground of the outermost phase conductor. All measurements shall be made at 2m above ground level.
Clause 7(c) does not apply except for the last paragraph. The rest of Clause 7(c) is replaced with the words “For measurement distances see Table 1 in Clause 5.1”
Clause 7(d) does not apply except for the italicised heading. The rest of Clause 7(d) is replaced with “The correction for lateral distances shall be in accordance with the curve in Fig 2 of CISPR 18-1, 1982.”
Clause 8.1 does not apply and is replaced with:
“The 80/80 rule is to be applied as per CISPR 18-2, 1993 Amendment 1”
Clause 8.2 does not apply
Figures 2, 3 and 4 do not apply
