Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997

Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name Product—Agriculture (Notice No. 1269)

Pursuant to section 14 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, the Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry hereby gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (ACVM) Act 1997:

Trade Name: Advantage Multi for Cats
Reference: A09118
Active Ingredient and Concentration:

  • Imidacloprid 100g/L
  • Moxidectin 10g/L
    General Use Claim:
    For the treatment and prevention of fleas Ctenocephalides sp, for the control of:
  • ? roundworms Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina including larval and immature stages.
  • ? hookworms Ancylostoma tubaforme, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala (these hookworms do not occur in New Zealand), including larval and immature stages of all species in cats.

Any person may make a written submission to the Director-General under section 17 of the ACVM Act 1997 concerning the application notified above. Such submissions:

(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission;
(b) may state any decision sought on that application;
(c) must be received by the Director-General no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in this New Zealand Gazette; and
(d) should be forwarded to the address given below.

A copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for their information.
A copy of the public information on the application may be obtained from ACVM Group, New Zealand Food Safety Authority, P.O. Box 2835, Wellington, or on the web site at:

Active Ingredient and Concentration:

    General Use Claim:

Telecommunications Act 2001

Clarification of Determination

On 5 November 2002, the Commerce Commission determined, under section 27 of the Telecommunications Act 2001, the terms and conditions on which interconnection with Telecom New Zealand Limited’s fixed public switched telephone network (PSTN), and interconnection with TelstraClear’s fixed PSTN, must be supplied (“Decision 477”).

On 11 February 2003, the Commerce Commission clarified, under section 58 (1) of the Telecommunications Act 2001, Decision 477.

Pursuant to section 58 (2) of the Act, the Commerce Commission gives public notice that it has clarified, under section 58 (1) of the Act, Decision 477.
