Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road

—State Highway No. 26, Hamilton to Kopu

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated
8 October 2003 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit
New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State
Highway No. 26 described in the Schedule hereto, and as
more particularly shown on Plans LA/157 and LA/158 and
accompanying Schedules held in the office of the Regional
Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available
for public inspection, to be limited access road.

Schedule
The section of State Highway No. 26 that is in
Matamata-Piako District, commencing at Tui Road and
proceeding in a north to north-westerly direction to Rawhiti
Road (Route Position 48/2.70 to Route Position 48/11.67); a
distance of 8.97 kilometres.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Transport Act 1962

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2002/13:

Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on
State Highways: Transit New Zealand
Regions 9 and 10

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act
1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962,
Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as
follows.

Amendment

  1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its
    publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In the Second Schedule after Clause 6 (e), insert:

“That section of State Highway No. 2 that is at Te Marua,
from a point 800 metres east of Plateau Road
and proceeding in a generally westerly direction to
a point 150 metres east of Norana Road (Route Position
931/13.23 to Route Position 946/1.91); a distance of
2.87 kilometres.”

  1. The notice dated the 29th day of May 2003, and
    published in New Zealand Gazette, 5 June 2003, No. 61,
    page 1678, is hereby revoked.

This amendment is made by delegated authority from the
Transit New Zealand Authority.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987,
and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the
Community Relations Manager, West Coast Conservancy of
the Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the
land described in the Schedule below is held for conservation
purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.

Schedule
Nelson Land District—Nelson District

4991 square metres, more or less, being part Section 198
and Sections 197, 200, 201 and 282, Town of Millerton.

Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991

Interpretation Act 1999

Amendment to a Notice of Approval for Land to be Sold, Otherwise Disposed Of or Modified

Under section 5 (1) of the Harbour Boards Dry Land
Endowment Revesting Act 1991 and section 13 of the
Interpretation Act 1999, I, Chris Carter, the Minister of
Conservation, hereby correct an error in a notice under the
first mentioned Act, dated the 21st day of July 2003 and
published in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 July 2003,
No. 85, page 2223, by omitting the words

“Each lease shall be for a term of five years with two
further rights of renewal each for five years”

in the Schedule to the said notice and replacing them with

“Each lease shall be for a term of five years with a right
of renewal for two further terms of five years and one
further term of five years less one day.”
