Reappointments to the Psychologists Board

Pursuant to section 3 (3) of the Psychologists Act 1981 (“the Act”), I reappoint the following people to the Psychologists Board for a three-year term of office commencing from the date of this notification:

Janet Peters

as a registered psychologist reappointed under section 3 (3) (a) of the Act;

Steven Osborne

as a registered psychologist reappointed under section 3 (3) (b) (i) of the Act;

Catherine Love

as a person involved in teaching psychology reappointed under section 3 (3) (b) (ii) of the Act; and

Karl Pulotu-Endemann

as a layperson reappointed under section 3 (3) (b) of the Act.

Notice of Product Ruling

1. This is a notice of a product ruling made under section 91F of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

2. Product ruling No. 03/11 was issued on 18 June 2003. It relates to the tax effects of involvement in olive grove activity and various sections of the Income Tax Act 1994. It will appear in Inland Revenue’s Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 15, No. 8, of August 2003.

3. From 27 August 2003, a copy of the ruling may be obtained by writing to the Manager, Field Liaison & Communication (Adjudication & Rulings), National Office, Inland Revenue, P.O. Box 2198, Wellington.

1. This is a notice of a public ruling made under section 91D of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

2. Public ruling BR Pub 03/05 entitled “Associated persons test—Timing in relation to gross income derived from the sale or other disposition of land” was issued on 14 August 2003. The ruling’s subject matter was originally contained in BR Pub 00/05 and applied from 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2003. BR Pub 03/05 applies from 1 July 2003 to 30 June 2008. It will appear in Inland Revenue’s Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 15, No. 9, of September 2003.

District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to sections 5 and 28B of the District Courts Act 1947, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

David McCaw Wilson, Q.C., barrister of Hamilton

to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part IIA of the District Courts Act 1947 on and from 29 August 2003.
