Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated
9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads,
give the following notice.
Notice
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua District)
Notice 2002. -
Those localities and roads within markings identified in
the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered
LT0223/1, entitled “Rotorua District Roading Speed
Restrictions”, and held by the Head Office of the Land
Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to
section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to
section 52 (2), and declared to be 70 kilometres an
hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2)
of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or(c) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant
to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations
1976; or(d) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to
section 52 (2);
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend
are hereby incorporated into this notice.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Amendment to Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2002/11: Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 3 and 4
Pursuant to sections 61 (3) and 72 (1) (j) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the amendment to Bylaw 2002/11 published in the New Zealand Gazette, 26 September 2002, No. 143, page 3774, as follows:
Amendment
-
This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

In the Second Schedule, clause 10 (j):
(a) In line 1, delete “50” and replace with “380”.
(b) In line 3, delete “150” and replace with “360”.
(c) In line 4, delete “Route Position 656/6.99 to Route Position 656/8.90” and replace with “Route Position 656/6.99 to Route Position 656/9.04”.
(d) In line 5, delete “1.91” and replace with “2.05”.
This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2002/10: Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 1 and 2
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows.
Amendment
-
This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

In the second Schedule after clause 7 (b) insert:
At Waiwera, commencing at a point approximately
5 metres north of the northern abutment of Titfords
Bridge and extending in a generally southerly direction
to a point at the northern abutment of Hatfields
(Otanerua Stream) Bridge (Route Position 274/9.535 to
Route Position 288/2.80); a distance of 6.6 kilometres.
This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.
