Designation of Auditing Agencies
Pursuant to section 32 of the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001, the Director-General of Health designates Telarc Limited to audit the provision or likely future provision of the following kinds of health care services:
- Mental health services
- Geriatric services
Aged related residential services that are:
- Rest home care
Residential disability services:
- Intellectual
- Physical
- Psychiatric
- Sensory
This designation is subject to the following conditions:
That Telarc Limited is designated on the condition that:

The auditing agency must ensure that where it audits the provision of health care services for people with physical or sensory disabilities, or intellectual disabilities, or psychiatric disabilities or mental illnesses, the auditing agency observes the following:
- For audits involving services for people with physical or sensory disabilities, a person with a pronounced physical or sensory disability, respectively, must fully participate in all aspects of the audit.
- For audits involving services for people with intellectual disabilities, a person with an intellectual disability (accompanied by a support person where necessary), or a close family or whānau member of a person with an intellectual disability, must participate in all aspects of the audit.
- For people with psychiatric disabilities or mental health illnesses, a past or present consumer of mental health services must fully participate in all aspects of the audit.

The auditing agency must inform the Ministry of Health immediately by way of written notice if there is any change to their accreditation status with JAS-ANZ.
Dated at Wellington this 31st day of July 2002 and expiring on the 31st day of July 2005.

This designation is subject to the following conditions:
That Allied Certification Services Pty Limited is designated on the conditions that:

The auditing agency must ensure that where it audits the provision of health care services for people with physical or intellectual disabilities, or mental illnesses, the auditing agency observes the following:

This designation is subject to the following conditions:
That Bureau Veritas Quality International is designated on the conditions that:
