Bait fishing for trout in the eastern zone.

8. USE OF BOATS

8.1

Fishing from boats which are being mechanically propelled is permitted in:

  • All rivers.
  • Lake Coleridge.
  • Lake Ellesmere (Te Waihora).
  • Lake Forsyth.
  • Lake Sumner.

8.2

Fishing from boats which are not being mechanically propelled is permitted in:

  • All waters listed in 8.1
  • Lake Evelyn.
  • Lake Georgina.
  • Lake Lyndon.
  • Lake Pearson.
  • Lake Selfe.
  • Lake Taylor.
  • Loch Katrine.

9. DAILY LIMIT BAGS

No licence holder shall take, kill or be in possession of more than:

Total sports fish.

Salmon:

a) Lake Coleridge

b) Rest of North Canterbury Fish and Game Region

9.3

Total Trout:

4

a) Eastern zone.
2

b) Western zone:

i) Lake Coleridge.
4

ii) Lake Sumner.
4

iii) Ashley River above the Oxford-Glentui Bridge.
1

iv) Broken River and all of its tributaries (including Winding Creek, Porter River and Slovens Creek).

v) Rest of western zone.
