Interpretation Act 1999

Amendment to a Notice Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes as Ecological Areas and to be Part of Existing Ecological Areas

Under section 13 of the Interpretation Act 1999 and section 8 (1) (a) of the Forests (West Coast Accord) Act 2000, the Minister of Finance and the Minister for State Owned Enterprises hereby amend an error in the notice dated 28 February 2002, published in New Zealand Gazette, 7 March 2002, No. 20, page 603, declaring land held for conservation purposes as ecological areas and to be part of existing ecological areas, by omitting the area 747.5473 hectares from the description of the area to be part of the Card Creek Ecological Area in the Schedule to the notice and replacing it with the area 685.6473 hectares.

Road Realignment—State Highway No. 10, Orotere, Far North District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described in the First Schedule to this notice to be road which, pursuant to section 88 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, becomes road, limited access road and State highway and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the portion of road described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be stopped and, pursuant to section 120 (3), shall be amalgamated with the land in certificate of title 595/195, subject to mortgage D. 459206.3.
