Airworthiness Directives

Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation,
I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Team Leader–Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directives in
respect of aircraft or aeronautical products:

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director
of Civil Aviation

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990,
notification is hereby given of a summary of exemptions, set
out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil
Aviation.

Schedule

1/EXE/40

On: 16 May 2002.

To: Airways Corporation of New Zealand.

From the Requirements in: Civil Aviation Rule 172.67 (b)
that procedures be established to ensure an ATS Letter
of Agreement is in place between ATS Units with which
regular operational co-ordination is required.

Only With Respect to: Operational co-ordination within the
Main Trunk ANS Business Unit comprising of the
following ATS units:

(a) Enroute ATS Area Sector being: Bay, Raglan,
South, Taranaki, Kaikoura and Central Sectors;
and

(b) ATS Auckland being: Auckland Tower and
Auckland TMA Sector; and

(c) ATS Wellington being: Wellington Tower and
Wellington TMA Sector; and

(d) ATS Christchurch being: Christchurch Tower and
Christchurch TMA Sector.

Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions with
provisos is published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register
Information Leaflet (CARRIL).

For the proviso, refer the issue dated 7 June 2002.

Exemption files are available for inspection at the Civil
Aviation Authority of New Zealand, 1 Market Grove

Notification of Ordinary Rules

Pursuant to section 34 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990,
notification is hereby given of the ordinary rules set out in
the schedule hereto which shall come into effect as stated in
the schedule.

Schedule

The following ordinary rules were signed by the Associate
Minister of Transport for the Minister on 23 May 2002:

Civil Aviation Rules Part 91: General Operating and
Flight Rules, Amendment 7, which shall come into
force on 1 July 2002.

Civil Aviation Rules Part 1: Definitions and
Abbreviations, Amendment 20, which shall come into
force on 1 July 2002.

Civil Aviation Rules Part 1: Definitions and
Abbreviations, Amendment 21, which shall come into
force on 1 July 2002.

Civil Aviation Rules Part 19: Transition Rules,
Amendment 4, which shall come into force on 1 July
2002.

Civil Aviation Rules Part 104: Gliders – Operating
Rules, Amendment 2, which shall come into force on
1 July 2002.
