Scatters
Scattered Prizes added to Payline Wins
or Scattered wins are always added to payline wins
or Coinciding scattered wins are added to payline wins
4.7.31 Scattered prizes are always added to wins occurring on paylines even if they occur on the same line as some other win (Note: the statement COINCIDING SCATTERED WINS ADDED may only be used when there are multiple scattered symbols and coinciding wins are paid for these scatters).
Substitutes
X Substitutes for all Symbols [Optional Including or Except Scatters]
4.7.32 The symbol X may substitute in any winning pattern in replacement for a symbol required by that pattern (e.g. Queen Sub Queen, the Sub qualifies as a Queen to make 3 Queens). Unless the optional Except Scatters, or the equivalent, is used, the Substitute participates in Scattered wins. Further qualification may be required to clarify circumstances of games with coinciding wins rules.
X Substitutes for all Symbols and for all Scattered Pays at the same time
4.7.33 If a game offers two or more scattered symbols which are substituted by the symbol X then this wording explains that X substitutes up to a number of times: once in a payline winning pattern, and once for each scattered symbol. Scattered symbols are substituted even when none of the scattered symbols appear on the display.
If one or more X substitute in a winning pattern the prize for that winning pattern is doubled. Doubled prizes are shown in the coloured column.
4.7.34 The substitute symbol X doubles the prize of a winning pattern in which it substitutes. Prizes for winning patterns for the symbol X are not doubled as the symbol X does not substitute for itself. If the symbol X doubles* the prizes also for scatters then this is indicated on the artwork with appropriate additional wording.
*The word double can be substituted by any other multiplier.
Every X that substitutes in a winning pattern multiplies the prize for that winning pattern by XX.
4.7.35 The prize of the winning pattern is multiplied by XX for each substituting symbol.
X substitutes for A, B, C...
4.7.36 Only the symbols indicated are substituted. If more than one substitute symbol exists, the range of symbols that are substituted by each substitute is specified.
X substitutes for All Symbols except A, B, C...
4.7.37 The symbol X substitutes for every symbol except the symbols as indicated. If more than one substitute symbol exists, the range of symbols that are excluded by each substitute is specified.
Features
Non winning combinations occurring during free games pay X credits multiplied by the total number of credits staked / credits staked per line:
4.7.38 If any win occurs in the free game, including scatters, then extra X credits (consolation prize), multiplied by the appropriate credits staked, are not paid. If scattered wins occur and the consolation prize is paid regardless this is appropriately stated.
