Pursuant to Section 106 of the Land Transfer Act 1952

On the 21st day of March 2002, TEA Custodians (Equitable) Limited entered into possession as mortgagee of the property of Metropolis Carparking Limited at 87-89 Greys Avenue, Auckland, being certificates of title 980/173, 506/172, 506/173, 977/161 and 77B/401 (all North Auckland Registry) (“the property”).

Appointment of Members of the Electoral Commission

Pursuant to sections 8 (4) (b) and 10 (1A) of the Electoral Act 1993, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint, on the nomination of the House of Representatives

David Francis Caygill, of Christchurch

to represent the Government; and

John Kenneth Warcup Isles, of Wellington

to represent the Opposition parties

each as a member of the Electoral Commission, for the purposes of its jurisdiction under Part VI of the Broadcasting Act 1989, for a term of 12 months commencing on 20 March 2002.

Notice of Draft Code of ACC Claimants’ Rights

  1. The Minister for Accident Insurance has agreed with the draft Code of ACC Claimants’ Rights (“the draft ACC Code”).

Pursuant to section 43 (1) (a) of the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001 (“the IPRC Act”), the board of ACC now gives notice of the publication of the draft ACC Code.

A period of public consultation on this draft ACC Code is also notified and details are given below.

  1. The purpose of the ACC Code is specified in section 40 (1) of the IPRC Act as:

“The purpose of the Code of ACC Claimants’ Rights is to meet the reasonable expectations of claimants (including the highest practicable standard of service and fairness) about how the Corporation should deal with them, by–

(a) conferring rights on claimants and imposing obligations on the Corporation in relation to how the Corporation should deal with claimants; and

(b) providing for the procedure for lodging and dealing with complaints about breaches of the Code by the Corporation; and
