No person may use or cause to be used for the hunting or killing of game on Lake Ngaroto any fixed stand, pontoon, hide or maimai except within 85 metres of the margin of the lake.
No person may use or cause to be used for the hunting or killing of game on Lake Rotokauri any fixed stand, pontoon, hide or maimai on any open water of the lake.
No person may wilfully leave on the hunting ground any game bird(s) shot or parts of any game birds shot.
No person may herd or drive waterfowl for the purpose of hunting or killing them.
No person may shoot game from any unmoored boat on the Waikato River north of the boat ramp at the confluence of the Mangawara Stream and the Waikato River at Taupiri on any of the first three days or the second weekend of the open season.
No person may possess a firearm in or on any unmoored vessel, except a rowboat, unless the firearm is dismantled or secured in a case, gunslip or other secure compartment, except when in use to retrieve wounded game.
Closed Game Areas
The following closed game areas as listed for the former Auckland Acclimatisation Society in the supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of 28 March 1985 are revoked:
Rotokohu No. 1B1, No. 1B2A, and No. 1B2B. No. 1 Block, Aroha S.D. and No. 1B2A1 County of Ohinemuri, the property of the Paeroa Golf Club.
Part Allotments 1, 2, 3 and 254, Parish of Mangatawhiri, Part Allotment 7, Parish of Pukekohe, and Allotments 256-7, Parish of Mangatawhiri, containing 105 hectares, known as St. Stephen’s School, the property of the General Trust Board.
Sections 1B, 65B, Rangiriri S.D., containing 146 hectares, the property of J.A.A. Ridgley, Tikotiko.
Allotment 137, and part Allotment 13, Parish of Manurewa, known as the Grange Golf Links, the property of the Otahuhu Golf Club.
The property of Mr. N.S. Boyce, Cozens Road, Waerenga, being some 167.6309 hectares, comprising Lot 3 and part Lot 2, D.P. 18203, and part Lot 1, D.P. 510845, Whangamarino Parish.
Part of Allotment 49, Papakura Parish, 6 hectares, the property of K.G. Bell, Ardmore.
Ngarua Block 5a, 30 hectares, the property of W.G. Jones, R.D. 1, Ngatea.
The property of Mr M. Hewitt, consisting of Sections 21, 22, 23 and 77s, Cambridge S.D.
The property of O.H. Wintour, Main Road, Waimauku, being Lots 1/11, 13/20, 22/23, Block 7, Kumeu S.D.: area 57 hectares.
