Game That May Be Hunted or Killed—Duration of the 2002/2003 Season

Grey, Mallard, and Shoveler Duck, a maximum total bag not exceeding 20 birds for all species combined and no more than the individual bag limit for each species.

Definition of Area A:

The following description refers to Area A
All lands north of a line running east/west north of the Whangape Harbour, then along the main ridgeline of the Maungataniwha Range and out to and including all lands north of Whangaroa Harbour.

Shooting Hours

6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. except that for the hunting of Paradise Shelduck on 22 and 23 February 2003, shooting hours will be from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.

Decoy Limit

No limit.

Special Conditions

No person shall wilfully leave on the hunting ground any game bird(s) shot or parts of any game bird(s) shot.
Camouflaged Rowboats: Persons may hunt or kill game from an unmoored camouflaged rowboat.
During 22 and 23 February 2003, Special Paradise Shelduck Season, there shall be no hunting on or around any urban sewage oxidation ponds.
