C. INSTITUTIONS IN COUNTRIES NOT LISTED ABOVE.

All university medical schools listed in the seventh edition of the World Health Organisation’s World Directory of Medical Schools (other than those listed above) are approved, so that their graduates are eligible to apply for entry to the New Zealand Registration Examination (NZREX) or assessment of eligibility for vocational registration.

D. NOTES.

  1. A graduate of any of the institutions listed in paragraphs A, B or C who is visiting New Zealand, may be entitled to temporary registration without examination for the purpose of:

(i) giving postgraduate instruction in medicine; or

(ii) obtaining postgraduate training or postgraduate experience, or carrying out research in medicine, in a hospital or other place approved by Council; or

(iii) for any other purpose approved by the Council.

Council policy effective from 1 July 2001 applies to temporary registration and can be obtained from the Council office.

  1. Pursuant to section 151 of the Act, the medical schools of the University of Auckland and the University of Otago were deemed to be approved institutions with effect from 1 July 1996, and the qualifications MB ChB Auckland and MB ChB Otago accepted for probationary and general registration.

Pharmacist and Pharmacy (Fees) Notice March 2002

  1. Title and Commencement—This notice may be cited as the Pharmacist and Pharmacy (Fees) Notice March 2002 and shall come into force on 11 April 2002.

  2. Fees—Pursuant to sections 56A and 56C of the Pharmacy Act 1970, the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand sets the following fees payable to the society specified in the Schedule to this notice.

  3. Fees Inclusive of Goods and Services Tax—The fees are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax where applicable.

  • Application fee: $135.00
  • Interview fee: $100.00

Certificates of Identity and Letters of Good Standing:

  • Certificate of identity and letters of good standing for New Zealand pharmacists applying for registration overseas: $50.00
