59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989—Delta Air Lines, Inc. for the Provision of Flight Training

Pursuant to section 59 (2) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:

“On 5 March 2002, I, the Honourable Dr Michael Cullen, Minister of Finance, gave an indemnity in favour of Delta Air Lines, Inc. under an agreement between the New Zealand Defence Force and Delta Air Lines, Inc. for the provision of flight training services for Boeing 727 aircrew.”

The submission close-off time for the proposed rules is 29 March 2002.
