Objects to the inclusion of the area of Papatoetoe west of Great South Road (including Puhinui) being included in the proposed Manukau East electorate as their community of interest lies with the rest of Papatoetoe in the proposed Mangere electorate.
Suggested solution Move this area into the Mangere electorate. This would allow the suburbs of Shelly Park, Somerville, Shamrock Park, Dannemora and East Tamaki Heights to be included within Manukau East where their community of interest lies.

Objects to the inclusion of the area of Flat Bush and Chapel Downs in the proposed Manukau East electorate as its community of interest lies with the housing developments around Manukau Heights and the planned Flat Bush Centre.
Suggested solution Include this area in the proposed Clevedon electorate and shift the area of Howick comprising Shelly Park, Somerville, Shamrock Park, Dannemora and East Tamaki Heights into Manukau East where its community of interest lies.

Objects to the inclusion of The Gardens suburb in the proposed Clevedon electorate as it is accessible only from Manurewa.
Suggested solution Use the boundary between Tamaki Makaurau and Pare Hauraki-Pare Waikato, between Redoubt Road and the Southern motorway, as the boundary for the general electorate. This would transfer The Gardens from Clevedon to Manurewa, and Randwick Park from Manurewa to Clevedon. If more population is required, the area of Chapel Downs east of Chapel Road could be transferred from Clevedon to Manurewa.
