Civil Aviation Rules
Pursuant to section 34 (1) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice of his intention to make ordinary rules in the following CAR Parts:
Part 125—Air Operations – Medium Aeroplanes, incorporating Airborne Collision Avoidance Systems (ACAS) (NPRM 03-02, Docket 2/CAR/3).
Part 125—Air Operations – Medium Aeroplanes, incorporating Terrain Awareness and Warning Systems (TAWS) (NPRM 03-03, Docket 2/CAR/8).
Part 137—Agricultural Aircraft Operations re-issue, (NPRM 03-04, Docket 1/CAR/1358).
The close-off date for submissions on the proposed rules is 14 October 2002.

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation
Pursuant to section 37 (3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given that the Director of Civil Aviation has granted the following exemptions:

From the Requirements in: Civil Aviation Rule 121.71 (f) and 139.305—Use of aerodromes.
2/EXE/47
From the Requirements in: Civil Aviation Rule 121.71 (f) and 139.305—Use of aerodromes.

The Traffic (Hastings District) Notice 2002
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hastings District) Notice 2002.

Those localities and roads shown on the plans numbered:
LT 0229/1 of 3, entitled “Speed Restriction Hastings District Hastings, Flaxmere and Havelock North”; and
LT 0229/2 of 3, entitled “Speed Restriction Hastings District Puketapu, Pakowhai, Omahu & Fernhill, Whakatu, Waimarama, Bridge Pa, Paki Paki, Haumoana, Putorino, Clive and Te Awanga”; and
LT 0229/3 of 3, entitled “Speed Restriction Hastings District, Maraekakaho & Waiohiki”;
and indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on those plans, are declared to be:
(a) closely populated localities at all times with a maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or
(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act, pursuant to section 52 (2) of that Act; or
(c) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act, pursuant to section 52 (2) of that Act, and declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed-limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or
(d) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plans and legends are hereby incorporated into this notice.

The Traffic (Hastings District) Notice 1999* dated 4 November 1999 is hereby revoked.
